Hello

Hi I am Martin been at sea one way or another all my life, sailed world wide, then joined UK coastguard followed by time as Harbour Master & Pilot. From my spelling you'll gather I come from UK not USA. I now live between the Island of Alderney and Falmouth in Cornwall.
We spend the summers cruising and hole up during the winter ashore because the years creeps on. We have owned a 41 foot Cheoy Lee ketch for the past 12 years, which serves our purposes very well. Comfortable spacious but old enough to need lots of TLC etc. Previously sailed gaff cutters for 20 odd years but wanted to increase boat size so had to go bermudan to keep things easy to handle single or two handed.
Intend to carry on cruising as long as time etc permits but have no intentions to circle the world as the other half likes her garden some of the time, I have suggested herbs in a pot but that does not seem to cut it.
Anyway looking forward to reading the comments and ideas of others and perhaps making a few suggestions or questions of my own.
