Hello

I my name is Brian and together with my wife Ann we purchased an Oyster Lightwave 48 which we sailed from the East Coast of the UK via Plymouth UK and down to Lagos in the Algarve where we live. Having sailed and raced dinghies all our lives and although having done a significant amount of crewing on larger boats this was our first foray into boat ownership. Our original plans were to cruise the Med to Italy, Croatia and Greece but are now thinking of preparing to do the ARC in 2012. Oyster are also doing a world rally starting in St Lucia in 2013 which we would love to do but this depends on whether we can successfully declutter our life at home, who knows. We just wish our busy business lives would allow us to get out on the water more.
Look forward to participating in the forums and meeting and hearing from other more experienced cruisers. If anyone is in Lagos, Portugal do ask for us in Lazyjacks bar on the Marina.

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Brian & Ann.

Congratulations on the new boat, and may she serve you well for many years to come. It sounds as though you're off to a great start.
