Hello

Starting the three year plan to join you guys. Will have a ton of questions and will say thanks in advance for your future help. I plan on finding a good on-board training course this winter and spend the next two years getting ready to purchase a cat I can live on for the next ten to fifteen. Spent a lot of time on the lake in a runabout and grew up with water sports but have always wanted to sail and live on a boat in the Caribbean. Just came back from Antigua and met several of you "yachtees" as the locals call you. Everyone thinks I'm crazy (no sailors in the family) but the feeling on the water is just awesome. I realize there are bad days on the water also but I really love the lifestyle.

Re: Hello

Welcome to CF and all the best on finding your boat! I'm not sure about the others, but I've never had a bad day on the water. I've had some extremely annoying passengers and some tremendously nerve-wrecking teachable moments, but so far, not a single bad day -- not even that time the anchor didn't hold while my now-ex-husband and buddy were spear fishing, which turned out to be a very good day for them

Re: Hello

I have the same love dream and love of the water as yourself. If I can only get my wife on board with the idea. Lol What type of Cat are you looking for. Myself, I'm a fan of the Lagoons.
