Wow, that's a burden on you and your family! I hope it works out well for you. Maybe your and your good lady can learn a lot from the delivery skipper
on the way, 'cause if you don't already sail at all, you're at the bottom of what can be a very steep learning
curve. It isn't just sailing the boat, it's learning
about how winds and currents affect you, and when to do what, and how to anchor
safely, just for starters. 'Cause you're in an environment
basically hostile to humans. What you're undertaking isn't like driving an SUV across America, although you can turn it into a motor
everywhere sort of thing--what a shame that would be!--I hope your skipper
teaches you respect for the sea. That will serve you very well.
