as for soulmates and crew we will sharing with a lot of cruisers here at brunswick landing marina in ga - probably 60+ cruisers will be here to share all that we are thankful for - and we are truely thankful to God for letting us do this

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Two of my most memorable:

Cruisers pot luck on a beach in the Bahamas.

Dinghy drift in St. John USVI - about 30 dinghies tied together passing goodies back and forth.

I don't think I ever had turkey for Thanksgiving while cruising. Never saw the Lions play football either - there's always something to be thankful for.

We are so excited about getting "out there" I'm taking time off boat projects for a few days to be with family and good friends for Thanksgiving.

We indeed have tons to be thankful for. I'm currently working out of town so it will be good to be home again. Luckily the largest sailboat population in the USA (Kemah Texas) is 30 minutes from my jobsite, so "Sea Yawl Later!!" has been my address for a few months now.

It's nice to go to the boat everynight and change that one light bulb, or run up a new halyard... all the little things it takes to get ready to go. A little every evening makes a big difference.

A belated reply but Happy Thanksgiving to you too. A day set aside to remember all the things we should be thankful for.
More a U. S. tradition so I can understand why some here have not heard of it.

I am sorry I did not respond sooner but things got busy with Thanksgiving. It is an American holiday where traditionally families get together and have a Thanksgiving dinner. Ours is pretty typical, turkey, dressing, cranberry salad, green beans, yams and lots and lots of deserts. We stuff ourselves and then watch the University of Texas and the Texas Aggies football game. We are an Aggie household ! We lost A great time with family!

There is a historical perspective about the pilgrims first Thanksgiving but that is probably more information than you want!
