Only posting this because I already have one.. If you are concerned about firearms but really want to have some type of firearm protection, consider a 26.5mm flair gun. These are available in polish, Czech, and are made by many countries. They are dirt cheap.

Then but a 12 gauge flair gun adapter so you can use cheap 12 gauge flares.

Then, buy a 45cal/410 shotgun insert for it. Hide the 410 shotgun insert in the end of a boat paddle or something similar. Now you have a flair gun and a gun for protection.

Just my 2 cents worth!

Aside from bans on flare guns, even with a 410 insert you need to carry ammunition. If that is found, now you've got contraband and concealed firearms and a whole world of trouble.

Easier to have a pistol in a lock box, sealed (on or off the boat) until your departure.

Make sure you know the consequences if you plan on going to some countries that not only frown on firearms, but would likely put you away in some third world jail.

You have more of a chance of ending up in that jail than you do of needing a firearm. But, to each his own. My guns are staying at home.

BTW, before you leave, make sure you know the rules of wearing camo clothing in the country you want to go to. It too can mean a jail sentence. I've listed a number elsewhere just in the Caribbean.

The rules you are used to in Texas don't even apply in New York, and much less, in another country. Their sandbox, their rules.

I have seen house, condo apartments, boats, one right across from the other. One sells in under 60 days, the other doesn't sell for 18 months.

If it has curb appeal (is clean!)
and is being advertised in any meaningful way
and it is posted at a realistic market price

It always sells fast. No magic there.
