I have been reading through these forums and have seens that there are many knowledgeable people on here. I have one quick question.

If a yacht is imported to Australia, does the import tax need to be paid in instalments every 6 months? Also if one of these instalments is failed to be paid will the boat be taken by customs and become property of the government?

I appreciate any replies and if you need me to give more information for you to be able to answer my question, please just let me know.
