Greetings to all.

I am definately a 'newbe', I bought a Chrysler C-22 last October and have yet to get her in the water. I am currently staying in an RV park in south Texas enjoying the warm weather. It is a lot better than south east Missouri.

I have spent the winter doing cedar woodwork upgrades and generally getting her ready for a long passage in the spring. Right now I am in the middle of a bottom repaint, what a job!

The question I have is has anybody ever tried to sail up the Mississippi from the Ohio to Cape Girardeau, MO.? That would be part of my trip if it can be done safely.

Thanks,

Larry

Well you probably won't do much sailing up the river, making tacks around barges usually isn't the safest thing. You'll most likely have to motor your way up slowly but surely.

Re: Greetings to all.

Aloha and welcome aboard,
Good to have you here. Although I've never done it I have to agree with Film.
You might do a Great Circle Loop search using the search engine just after my signature to see if anyone has done it in reverse.
kind regards,
