New to this forum.
Thank you for the welcome note.
We are Egyptian Sailors and have been cruising the Med in our Carter 39 since 1984.
Those of you who cruise Greece and Turkey my have come across S/Y Alif, thats us.

I have been searching the net for the original sail plan for the Carter 39 with no success, the manufacturer (Olympic Marine, Lavrion, Greece ) does not seem to exist any longer. Neither have I found any way of contacting Dick Carter himself ! I would appreciate it if anybody can help me find the original plans.

What about the Harken websites or other sailmaker web sites? BTW welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately nothing on the Harken site!

I have tried looking for Dick Carter's email address on the net, but to no avail.
Is he still designing yachts? Where is he located? Furthermore, a crucial question, is he still with us??

Anyway Im still hoping someone on this forum might have a lead.

i do know of a person who may be able to help you he is based in Voulos in greece and has had a lot of dealings with these yachts

try this www.GREG-YACHTS.com greg knows just about every thing there in reguards to greek yachts and db sails do about 95% of the yachts in athens and at alimos marina
