Greetings to all...

My wife and I are currently in Lynchburg, TN awaiting our big escape, saving our money and planning. I read everything I can get my hands on about sailing, cruising and all the wonderful new places we are longing to explore. I am glad to have found this forum and look forward to learning from it and possibly even contributing. I am now going to the mono-hull forum and post my first question !

Welcome aboard, Dave! Hope you enjoy the Forum. Be sure to stow a case of Jack Daniels on your boat before you leave town. Even if you don't drink it, it will be good for bartering.

G'Day Dave,

People really have a hard time believing me when I say I drink Jim Beam and not Jack Daniels. I tell 'em all the same thing, when I go off my back porch (and I do mean GO off my back porch) I know it's not gonna end up in my bottle of whiskey !

That famous spring that they get all the water for Jack Daniels is really close to my house

I will of course be sure to bring some for bartering and will not be telling that story to whom I plan to barter !
