Greetings from Virginia

Hello all. This is a great forum full of great info. I am currently a landlubber (if you don't count kayaking as boating) but am starting to research a live aboard for future retirement. I want to have boat custom built to my specs and have already gotten some good design ideas just from this site. Peace.

Welcome. And, kayaking is real boating and plenty of fun! I have a couple of one-person plastic Perceptions that have given me plenty of quality time on the water. Sailing and kayaking are both rather friendly to nature and good for the soul.

You are already boating -- now you just need to get a boat that will do most of the propulsion work for you, grin.

Time on the water is good.

Welcome!

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Virginian. We paddle and sail as well. We are in Va Beach on the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth river. You will pick up a lot of great information on this site. Dig in!
