I'm down river from you in western Arkansas on the Arkansas River. I see river cruisers on the Arkansas down here occasionally (mostly sailboats). Cruising between Tulsa and Little Rock would be nice and is in my plans.

I used to have a Catalina 27 on lake Tenkiller in Oklahoma. I sailed there for a few years until a tornado wiped out Snake Creek Marina where I had the boat. I took it out and need to buy a new mast for it.

Not to derail the thread, but I was in the Army and flying back from overseas I landed in Tulsa (I'm from Stillwater). There was some young coast guardsman in uniform sitting around waiting - he clearly had the look of a recent trainee. I stopped and talked to him and he had a very dejected response about the Coast Guard.

When I asked him what was the problem he said he was from Tulsa and joined the Coast Guard to get away and his first duty station was Port of Catoosa...poor dude!!
