Re: Greetings from the Smoky Mountains

The Cross & Anchor is currently moored in Newport News, VA, but I am heading that way (6 hours) to pull her out of the water and bring her to Tennessee; where I'll do a major cleaning and over haul of the inboard and outboard engines, as well as, replacing the rigging.
To show you how much of a rookie I am... I am hoping that the dock master will tell me someone who can assist me in taking down the mast and getting her onto the trailer. I'm hoping that there is a deep water loading ramp at the marina, otherwise I'll have to take it somewhere else to have it lifted out.
Like I said, first time at all of this and looking forward to the experience.
Thanks,
Poppy

Re: Greetings from the Smoky Mountains

Poppy,
I am new to the Forum also. I have been reading the many Forums and enjoying them immensely. I have a Freedom 44 which I have been sailing in Narragansett Bay and in New England. Did a lot of single handing in the past, to Bermuda three times and now looking to head to the Bahamas.

Good luck with the new boat and keep on sailing

Peter
