Delta makes a great anchor, but the Manson has a better shape for deflecting those pilings that keep jumping out in front of us when we're trying to dock in opposing wind and current at 90 degrees to our slip.

any boats for sale in your area? I will be driving from So. Cal, through Houston and up and around thru LA, and down thru the pan handle area...

That's the first time I've heard an anchor praised for its qualities as a fender.

Docking was a lot more exciting when we kept our Fortress 55 on the roller. Great anchor in mud and sand, but on the roller the cross-bar would try to hook anything that got anywhere near it.
