Greetings from the Chesapeake!

My name is Aaron. My limited sailing experience consists of racing Chrysler Mutineers from Colton's Point to the Bay on the lower Potomac and destroying Hobie 14s on the Indian River in the 1970s. About 4 weeks ago I was given a Cal 25 which today is only a gutted hull and standing rigging docked on Bodkin Creek, though it does have a nice, clean sail inventory. In researching this boat, I found Dave Martin's blog and decided to refit this boat as he did his "Direction" for cruising and circumnavigation. Mind you this is to the ire of the Annapolis Cal 25 Fleet, since I will be taking one of their very own precious racers and turning it into a Frankenboat over the next year or so.

I look forward to your counsel.

Aloha Aaron,
Welcome aboard! That sounds like a fun project. Just replace the necessary bulkheads and go sailing. Sounds easy doesn't it.
Hope you can find the information you need here to help you get your Frankenboat up and sailing.
kind regards,
JohnL

Thanks John. Piece of cake. She'll be in the water in March.
