Greetings from St.Lucia

Hello all, Just wanted to say hi, and hello..

Buy a small boat now, and go sailing the bay every weekend. Take some boating and sailing classes. Join a sailing club and go to some races. Good luck.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
It's good to have you posting here.
Taking sailing lessons is a great idea and I'd recommend that prior to buying a boat because it will give you more of an idea as to which boat might be best suited for you.
kind regards,
