Greetings from Seattle! Any other Flickas?

I'm Hollie, I live in Seattle with my family, we're based out of Shilshole. We don't liveaboard, but we plan on doing a lot of Pacific NW cruising over the next couple decades. We're in our early forties, and my hubby is a programmer while I'm a stay-at-home mom, currently also (slowly) finishing my BA degree.

I just bought a Flicka, my dream boat! Named her Elska (Icelandic for "love"). We've owned her for a couple of weeks. I sold our Hunter 30 for this boat. I dream of someday taking off for distant shores, but that will take several more years of experience. For now, we have a lot of great cruising to do here in the Sound and beyond, and I'm hoping that in a few years we can make it up to Alaska.

I am not a Flicka owner, but I have admired them as a pocket cruiser.

Congratulations on your new adventure.

Congrats on the Flicka! There is a Flicka called "Sko Eskem" (if I recall correctly) near me in the Port of Friday Harbor marina.

Congrats! No flicka here, but well wishes from a fellow pocket cruiser.

Re: Greetings from Seattle! Any other Flickas?

The Hunter should have been a decent boat for that area but if its offshore dreams then the little Flicka will be a safer bet. Congratulations on your new boat.
