Greetings from "Compassion" our Ingrid 38

Mark Darling here with best regards to all the synergistic patrons of this wonderful forum. Finally, after all the years of taking advantage of the knowledge and experience of you all I am elated to officially join the forum.
I have been building and repairing boats for 35 years with some of the finest yards in the land and have a great deal to offer in reciprocation for the innumerable times I have found answers to question that could be found no where else but here.

I have finally broken free of my yacht repair vocation that has restrained me from my avocation of sailing the world! Last September we purchased our "Sail Away" boat from the Sea Scouts of Maryland and are in the process of fitting her out. I am looking forward to being a part of the greatest sailing family on the planet.

Welcome! Sounds like you know what lies ahead. Tremendous work and (hopefully ) tremendous rewards. I love I38s. Please post some pictures when you get a chance!

I like the name you've chosen for your beautiful boat. I won't ask if you're related to Wendy, John and Michael. You're probably tired of hearing that. Anyway, welcome to our band of somewhat lost boys and girls. Most of us tried the grownup thing for 30 or 40 years and are now trying to get to our own Neverland even without the fairy dust.

Please forgive the Pan references. Our granddaughter is currently in a community theatre production of Peter Pan. Even though we think she is quit darling she was cast as a pirate.

Welcome. Great boat, and lovely name. Hope to see plenty of your posts here on CF. Even better if we can cross wakes one day.

Welcome to the gang, sounds like you have an excellent background. We enjoy having our yard guys on the forum, they balance some of the marketing rhetoric and hype on new boats with the reality when the yard guys are working on them.
