Greetings from Chicago

Hello there!

Happy to be joining this community! I live blocks from Lake Michigan and although I don't have a boat, I catch rides with anyone who'll let me! I spend my sailing dollars chartering until I get to begin the next chapter of my life which I hope includes a floating beauty.

I'm headed to the Chesapeake Bay this week where I'll spend a few days with my dad, husband, and good buddy on Our Solitude, a Lippincott 30.

Welcome to CF. Many of us got started sailing on OPBs (Other People's Boats) and charter boats. It's a great way to find out what you like before taking the plunge. Have fun on the Chesapeake, my old sailing grounds.

The Chesapeake was on our must visit list for 2008 - but hopefully will make it in the next couple of years.
