Re: Greetings from Aus

Thanks to everyone. We now have the boat safely tucked into its berth in Sydney Harbour.

We had a beautiful motor down from pittwater, the highlight was the 70cm kingfish we caught going past the basin and the great motion the boat has. My experience on the first 40.7 was that is was heavily influenced by the swell whereas the 47.7 has a very kind slower motion that dampens the swells influence . I can't wait to get the family onboard for a weekend away.

Re: Greetings from Aus

Congrats on the boat and hello from another aussie sailor!

Would of been a lively trip down out there today, but probably the kind of conditions your boat would love!!!! I have sailed on one a few times and they are indeed great boats. They feel much more solid and less fickle than a 40.7 and have enough storage/room to make them a great fast cruiser. Would be a perfect boat to do what you are intending.
