Greetings from a former ship manager in Capetown

Hi there,

Richard here. 31 years old (2016). Have lived in several countries in Africa and Europe. Have traveled in a little over 20 countries.

A jack of many trades.

In 2014 I was employed as the relief manage of the Zambezi Trader. It was a lot of hard work but a lot of fun also. I had a crew of 17 people with 70 guests at most. Our average cruse was 4 days but we also did day transfers for wedding groups wanting to get to an island or game reserve.

As a traveler I am hoping to continue my journey from Capetown to the Caribbean sometime either in 2016 or 17. Currently I live and work in a backpackers in Storms river (one of the most relaxed and best places I've visited in a few years). Here my skills are highly appreciated. I'm a natural net-worker and find it easy to get people together doing things and having fun. I'm also able to build website, do marketing, organize activities, repair and build things especially wooden things. I love working with wood. This afternoon for example, I built a tree house for Baz the goat.

I've joined this forum to learn more about sailing and hopefully meet some sailors and possibly find an opportunity to sail and use my skills to assist those in need of a skilled and entertaining sailing companion.

Thanks for reading this and I look forward to getting to know people and make new friends and acquaintances.

Rich

PS, My aim in life is to be content, to have peace of mind and body, love and joy. I would like to have people around me who like me and want me around. People who are similar to myself in attitude and temperament. Easy going, kind, thoughtful, productive, adventurous. Feel free to add to the list anythings you think I may have left out that would add to a good life.
