Hello all, my name is George..... new to the site, old hand at boats and cruising.

I'm on my 5th issue of my Master's License and have worked on or around boats since I was 12 at my uncle's marina in New Jersey. I am currently in Florida and split my time between Key West and Nokomis, FL. I lived aboard for 7 years, Owned a TowBoatUS franchise, and have delivered yachts up and down the East Coast of the US and most of the Bahamas North of 24*.

Currently, I have a Bertam 28 on the hard in Nokomis, and a Cal 28 in Key West at Garrison Bight Marina. I work for Sarasota County Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Retirement (and permanent cruising status) begins Oct 1, 2013!

Thanks... But not dreamer here, I sail all the time. The reason I keep a slip in KW is because the sailing is so much better there than the FL West Coast! My time mentioned is when I RETIRE, and can cruise full time. LOL

Great little boats, wish they made more... Mines a Lear-Siegler built in 1986. Had her 20 years now... I'd have to look at the log, but I'm near 50k nm on her. Been knocked down and she survived!
