Greetings and Salutations

Greetings to all. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Craig McIlrath. My wife and I are both teachers in South Africa. I am currently the Headmaster of an independent school in KZN. We have two children and dream of cruising- (what an education for us and our children). We are in the process of looking for a boat (currently looking at a Samson C Duece 45). I have sailed Finns for a number of years, but have limited experience in Coastal/ water sailing">blue water sailing. I plan to change this.

I am looking forward to being part of the forum, and learning from all the "ol salts" out there.

Take care,

Craig

Howizit Craig,

We moved back from RSA last year and moved into a 38 foot C&C sailboat. It has been a really fun year. I miss South Africa but it is great to reconnect with family. Welcome to the CF.

We took out children out of school and took a tour of North America mostly staying in a tent or two. It was a great education for us all! Go for it!
