Greeting from Atlanta. John

I have a Searay 340 Sundancer that I keep on Lake Lanier just north of Atlanta. Love boating and looking forward to traveling the Great Loop in a few years? In addition, I have my Capt license and hope to utilize it during retirement.

I see you have a Trawler. That will be my next boat when I retire and get ready to cruise the Great Loop. Also, looking to charter a Trawler from Southwest Charters next year. Last year I chartered an Island Gyspy out of Seattle, Wa and cruised the San Juan Islands with a destination of Victoria, CA

Got to love boating!

Re: Greeting from Atlanta. John

Hello,
Just wanted to drop you a quick line as I am new to this forum and my family is in your area. I live 5 min from Lake Lanier closer to Cumming/Dawsonville and was just there last weekend. I am in the Army so my family stayed there while I am up here in Maryland doing my final tour. I am living on a 43' Viking MY and plan to sail it from here to the Bahamas (spending one month there), around the Florida Keys (a week or so) and up to the Tennessee River to Chattanooga with my father when I retire next March. My wife and other family/friends will fly to meet me in some of the warmer locations for small stays. I found this forum and hope to learn a lot before my trip.

Best of luck to your plans and am sure you will love doing the loop. Living here on the Chesapeake Bay is a blast and hope y’all spend some time here.

Todd

Welcome aboard CF CApt JH.
Good idea to check things out before your retirement.
