Great Lakes Sailor--New to list

Hello to all,
I am a Great Lakes sailor based in Charlevoix, Michigan. I am helping a friend get ready to move a boat he is in the process of buying. It is a 1994 Beneteau 351 Oceanis with a Perkins 3cyl 29 hp. Does anyone have a table for fuel consumption/ Cruising RPM/ Cruising Speed for this engine. Unfortunately, the boat is an hour away and I can't look at the ID tag to give more specific info. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Greg.

Welcome to Cruisers Forum. Can't help with question you posted, but maybe someone else will chime in.

A small 2 or 2 Cylinder diesel will burn between 0.5 to 0.8 gallons per hour at 80% WOT.
Figure something like 7.5 to 10 nm per gallon.
Do you know Bob Shearer, aboard m/v 'Pathfinder" a classic woodie chris-craft?

Aloha Greg T,
Welcome aboard!! My old Perkins 4 cylinder used to burn about .85 gals per hour at 1800 rpm (5 to 6 knots) and that was on a 20,000 lb plus boat.
Good to have you on the forum.
Kind Regards,
JohnL
