Re: good news indeed

See the December 13th post on Eagle's website: Merry Chritmas | Eagle's Big Left Turn
Tom represents Cruise RO in La Paz and would be very helpful I'd think.

Also Zero to Cruising went with a Cruise RO watermaker on their charter cat One Love. See their blog posts here:
Fuel, water and airplanes | Zero to Cruising!
There are some others on this subject, but they gave very high marks for service.

And so did Windtraveler: http://www.windtraveler.net/2012/09/...verywhere.html

Good Luck and welcome on CF.

Re: good news indeed

We have a 30gph Cruise RO installed on our boat and (touch wood) it is one of the few items that have been trouble free in our first 7 months of cruising. It's a simple straight forward system that just works. Their customer service should be studied by other companies; it's wonderful.

These aren't complaints just things to note. . .
1) you have to monitor the system while its running, you don't want the HP pump to run dry due to a clogged sea water strainer.
2) it draws a bit of AC power, make sure you have a genset capable of running the system while also giving you enough spare power to charge batteries.

Good luck on your adventure!
