Going (part time) liveaboard

Decided I needed a change... Quit my full time job, bought a sailboat, going to live aboard for a while and recharge.

I've lurked here in the past, but figured it was time to actually join in.

Also picked up a new girlfriend right around the same time.

She's a 1978 Catalina 25 with a swing keel. Chose this one specifically because of the condition and swing keel. There's too many places around Tampa Bay that I wouldn't be able to get to otherwise.

Girlfriends with swing keels are rare! Treat her well and hang on to her. : D

Good luck, hope to get some updates. I raced many years in the Tampa area and there are many great places to sail.
Cheers, Jaxx

Welcome aboard You do realize that there will come a time when you will not want to go back. ( Trust me I hit that point 8 years ago. Found part time work to rebuild the kitty during the winter months . And never looked back.

Relationships come and go...but a good boat is hard to find.

Nice boat, a buddy of mine has one.
Look up Catalina direct. Great service and prices, and you can buy parts specifically for your boat.
Have fun recharging

Yep... already had several large orders with them to replace most of the rigging.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody.

Re: Going (part time) liveaboard

Full bottom job is coming in about six months. There's a few things I want to change (new keel winch, etc) but I don't have access to the appropriate facilities up here. I've had some "issues" with code enforcement in relation to the boat being at the house, hence the storage yard.
