I am really glad I stumbled onto this forum the other night while hoisting a few. It seems like it is full of info, and I look forward to learning
a lot from reading the post. The wife and I have both been messing about in boats most of our lives, but have only been sailing about four years. We started with a Catalina
22, learned a lot, and then moved up to an Ericson
25+. We had planned on keeping her for a while but ended up being adopted by a Douglas 32, Ted Brewer design, and so she is now our current
boat, and the one we are planning to cruise
in when I retire in 3 1/2 years. She may be a little old, and the storage
may leave a little to be desired, but we are almost 80% through a complete refit
, and I trust the boat to take me out and bring me back.
Looking forward to learning
a lot from this board.
