Hello and greetings from the Washington DC area. My wife and I are edging ever closer to the cruising dream and we are hoping to be underway next spring (2014). We currently own a Sabre 28 slipped on the Chesapeake and will be selling her to purchase the dream cruiser. We are both still employed full time, which makes it difficult to care for a boat so we'll wait until one or both of us can get aboard full time before purchasing the cruising boat. We're rookie sailors who've taken a few courses and sailed maybe a half-dozen times a year for the last 6 years. We've chartered in the BVI once, sailed a rental to Catalina once and spent several days poking around the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas before moving north. I am an avid member of a Sabre Sailboat users' forum as well as a motorcycle forum. One more can't possible hurt, right? It's just going to be a very busy time trying to keep with this one, I see ...
