pirate G'day from another downunder

G'day mates,

I'm in Corio on Corio Bay here in Victoria, Australia, a beached seaman but no sailor but...I would like to become a Tri sailor
I Just found this forum while searching for info' on Piver Trimarans. I'm thinking of buying a 30 foot Piver doer-uper which has been badly neglected but after reading advice given to others with the same idea as I, I think I'll hold on for a something that dosen't need so much work and I believe I'll find a lot of good advice here with you lot.

Bill

Greetings and welcome aboard Bill.
Hope you find a nice tri that doesn't require too much work.

Shame on you John, being a WA Eagle' you "know" the mighty cats are the greatest team on earth! Did they not win the flag in 2007? And in the past 25 years, they have been to more grand finals than any orther team! They also won every game through the season of 2008! And they would have won the flag again in 2008 but they played the "Chicken" Hawks in that grand final and we all know how the "Chicken" Hawks won that game...By playing Chicken football .
Aussie rules RULES mate! No padding for our boys, we play it rough and tough! I think you've been gone toooo long John

Cheers mate

Aloha Bill,
I once passed a deal on a Piver 30. The fellow wanted $500 because of his wife's health and a impending bulldozing of the place it was stored. I could have had a new engine to go with it for an additional $500. Kind of wished I had done it since it really didn't need much cleaning up.
Kind regards,
JohnL

I met a crazy Texan in Fiji who had sailed his Tri-which I think was a Piver, Elysiam, from Texas on his way to Oz. He had a bad go of it after Lautoka, but he loved the boat. SVMaggieDrum - Web Log of a Whitby 42 Sailing Vessel: S/V Elysium Lost

G'day mates,

I missed the boat on that 30ft Piver...perhaps it's just as well as I'm having a problem finding a mooring for a Tri around my home port and the wife would not be happy if I disapeared up North for several months to work on a "mad idea"...her words, not mine. Oh well, there's always next time
By the way SkiperJohn...the fixer-uper Tri I was after cost $7,000 AU, had it been selling for $500 AU or American...I would have bought it, moorings or no moorings and damm what the wife says

Cheers mates.
