Cool G,Day Yachties

I ve just joined in as I found you by accident while sarching for parts for an older Nilsson V1000 windlass, and you all look like an interesting bunch!

I am restoring an 1950 Maurice Griffiths (Jarrah) 40' Ketch up in Scarborough Queensland and the aluminium casing/deck flange is pretty much shot. I dont want to ditch it but the new parts are arms and legs so I like to find someone with a unit that may not work that they would like to sell?

My home port is on French Island down in Victoria and I have just returned from sailing with the "prevention of blindness program" around Vanuatu.

Cheers m'dears

Welcome aboard Capn. Good luck with the rebuild. I had a mate with a similar problem and he ended up casting a new flange from glass and epoxy - it "seemed" as strong as the original.

I have found the crew here at CF to be mainly good shipmates.

I used to live aboard at Scarborough but that was perhaps 25 years back and a few lifetimes ago .
