Future Sailor

Hello everyone,
My name is Scott. Im new to the sailing world but not to the boating world. I have never actually sailed before but have somewhat lived the lifestyle. I joined the forum to learn from all of the experience offered on the board. So a little more about me. Im originally from Cocoa Beach FL. I was in the Navy for 7 years as a Corpsman (Medic). I have been on and around the water for my entire life. I have had quite a few powerboats. Its time for the lifestyle change. Im tired of all the clutter and stuff of being on the hard. I am looking at living aboard. I have been on many small ships while in the Navy so i have quite a feeling to living aboard. Im nomadic at heart so i feel it makes it much easier for me. I would be great-full to be able to learn and talk to people first hand. Currently i live in Nashville TN so if anyone knows anyone that sails the lakes up here that i could get in touch with that would be much appreciated. I am a diesel mechanic student here in Nashville but am very much looking forward to getting back to the East Coast of Fl.
So to make a long story short i am looking very forward to learning from and meeting all of you.
Thank you
