From San Juan Islands to the Chesapeake Bay

Hi community,
It already feels good to be here. I'm from Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands (born and raised a small islander). Just bought an Alberg 35 in Maryland and moved out to live aboard her in the Chesapeake. I've been sailing for many years, but this is my first time living aboard full-time. Planning on heading south on the Intracoastal waterway this winter, and I'm eager to learn from everyone elses experiences with the passage.
Cheers,
Ryan

Aloha Ryan,
Welcome aboard!! Nice boat. Really like the Alberg family. Hope you enjoy her and the forum here.
You might run into some forum members headed South.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Ryan;

I spent a summer up near America Camp in a trailer park when I was a kid. We used to go into Friday Harbor for groceries and what not. My brother in law owned a detailing company there and I worked for him, and bucked hay.

Beautiful area San Juan Islands are. Good luck, and have fun!

Too bad your wanting to trade in your seal skins for fun in the sun. Last time I poked in to Friday Harbor things were really jumping. Either I'm getting too old or everyone else is getting too noisy. Had to go find a nice quite anchorage. That was this last summer. Good luck with your adventure. Remember to watch out for infections as the webbing between your toes starts to dry up. PNW joke. LOL Good sailing.

Hey, Ryan, from a fellow Pac NW'er. Maybe we'll see you out there. We're carrying along a bucket of moss and a fern to keep the webbing in shape.

Iam new today to this site. I own a MacGregor M26, (fast blue)
I have some sailing time, mostly lakes, and so ca coast.
I live near, and sail on Lake Tahoe.
