Freedom 35 sailboat

Greetings form North Carolina! I am considering purchasing a 1995-1999 Freedom 35 and would like to get pros and cons from current and previous owners please. Thanks in advance for your help.

We have a club member that really likes the Freedom and carbon fiber free standing masts. He had a Freedom 25 and loved it. Now he has a 45 ft twin carbon fiber masted boat. The only issue with the mast is if it breaks the cost is too expensive to replace. You can't tell if there is a problem with it unless you xray it.

Not having shrouds adds some interesting sailing. You will have to relearn a few things as the flex in the mast is something you need to compensate for. I would suggest if the layout and the survey meets your needs and sailing gaols it would be a good choice. No boat sails itself.
