In what state are you located? We just bought the 16' Prindle in our picture over Christmas for $300 in Florida. It was on a lark and we've had terrific fun on her since then! We found her on Craigs List.

Usually a free boat comes with so many needed repairs that it costs more than an operational one would have cost.
There was another post by a forum member asking for a free cat a couple years ago. You might do a search and see what kind of offers he got.
