Following my dreams ( finally )

Greetings!
Although I have just joined have been reading these forums for over a year. So much knowledge and wisdom on this site! Using as much information as I could glean from here I carefully browsed, researched, redid my lists of boats. Then I searched, eliminated, walked decks. Now am the proud owner of a very well taken care of Allied Princess! 3 weeks of various upgrades and will be ready to live aboard. Have been wanting to do this since I was 16. Finally at 54 I hope to actually meet some of the people on here as I travel south down the ICW and learn a great deal more.

Congratulations and welcome here! Sounds great and though I have not seen the Princess I have heard great things about the Allied boats. Are you from Santa Cruz? Is that the reason for your moniker?

Congratulations on both the persistence as well as taking the big plunge. It's easy to dream, acting on it can be hard for some!

Bravo!

Re: Following my dreams ( finally )

I lived in San Diego for 13 years. Sailed a 27 ft Catalina with a friend up the coast to surf the Monterey Bay area all the time. East coast for about 12 years now. 9 in Vermont 3 in Virginia. At some point will sail back? Caribbean first. Hoping next winter for that. Still have a lot to learn.
Thank you all for the welcome!
