Cool first time!

We leave for the Abaco's in 16 days! We plan to be gone until end of Jan. Unfortunately, we have to go back to work. But this short time living aboard will give us a chance to see how we do and how the money holds out! We have many years of sailing experience on our Morgan, 41, Bifrost.

We have many questions and have found that reading posts has helped with some of the answers already. Thanks to members of Cruisers Forum.

Enjoy your trip. We will leave New Bern sometime in the second half of November. We probably won't do the Abacos going south but will keep an eye out for you just in case.

Bon voyage.

What does Bifrost mean? In Suva, Fiji, we saw a viking replica being sailed around the world, and it was also called Bifrost.

As Cooper states: Bifrost (alternatively Asbru) is the mythological bridge leading from the realm of the mortals Midgard to the realm of the gods Asgard, which the gods travel daily to hold their councils under the shade of the tree Yggdrasill. The bridge itself is the rainbow and its guardian is the god Heimdallr.

At the end of the cosmos, this rainbow-bridge will collapse.
