Finally Sailing!!

Hi all,
I have been on the forum a few times previously, just wanted to pop in and introduce myself and let y'all know I just got my first sailboat. She's a Ranger 26 of 1972 vintage. I am taking some lessons, and learning to sail her in the Estuary off of SF Bay.

Re: Finally Sailing!!

Congratulations, and welcome to the Forum!

Years ago when I was a grad student at Berkeley I used to teach sailing in Sausalito...about 3-4 times a week.

San Francisco Bay is an unexcelled place to learn sailing and gain experience. You'll get more sailing done there in six months than many folks get in six years elsewhere, because of the winds and tides.

Have fun.
