Mr Lyle Smith from Victoria, Oz, built her over several years. She was built for the Darwin-Ambon race before it was cancelled around 1990, and Lyle never got to take her. We didn't do the race but she has done many wonderful sea miles for us through Indonesia, Malaysia & parts of Thailand.

Thanks for the welcome We plan to take AK to Boat Lagoon about middle of Jan for mods then it's back to work for us both until Oct Like a lot of cruisers we have to work to sail but working takes up way too much sailing time! By 2012 we hope to have a better balance with 6 months work, 6 months sailing then down to 3 mths work etc. (or win lotto LOL )

One of my friends buys one lottery ticket a week to finance his cruising dreams. He's been doing it for years. So far no luck!

My dad reckons you could put that money in the bank & after 25 yrs have enough to retire on (well, almost) but I say YOU GOTTA BE IN IT TO WIN IT !! Aren't cruisers a hopeful lot anyway? They hope for winds in the right direction, quieter seas, bigger fish, nicer coral, cheaper marinas and the big one; that nothing goes wrong
