Finally A big Water Boat--9th Sailboat

Ever since I saw it in 1993 at Annapolis sailboat show, I kept the brochure and knew someday I would live near big water....always lived in mountains of SC and VA so since 1982 just had daysailors or medium duty cruisers at lakes. The largest were (84' MacGregor 25...great for trailering for week trips on the Chesapeake and off Charleston SC) and 89 Hunter 27 as lake overnighter. But moved to Southwest Florida June 2015 and in Jan got my 1983 Pacific Seacraft Orion 27 trucked from other side of Mexico.....then I worked on her 3 months in a boat yard. Lots of projects but a hobby as well as get to know her better by working on her. It was previously kept in Huatulco and apparently it was a very salty environment. This boat is equipped amazingly for blue water cruising.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new boat. Pacific Seacraft makes great boats. I'm sure you're going to love yours.

I do want to caution you. Spend too much time cruising and you might get the "even bigger boat" disease.
