OK....if you're really there, get a grip. You do not need a new man, you just need your boat back. You also need to know why you were with this man. Next time, he may not just scuttle your boat but murder your children. You are in a cycle of abuse that totally frustrates the health care professsionals trying to help you. Do not become front page news!!
DoJ...we're not all "hairy assed " Canadians...some of us have soft, curvy derrieres.....FYI.

Good advice Lorianne!
When I first read her post I thought of bi-polar issues and hoped she’d just vent and get a grip. I don’t think we are doing her any favours by continuing this thread.
But that is only my opinion.

You said a "cycle", indicating more than one. How do you know she has had more than one of these relationships? She has only mentioned her last relationship. I think you are jumping to conclusions.

I am happy to take your word for it
On the other hand I always remind myself that any woman I encounter on the Internet may in fact be a "Hairy ar#ed Canadian Lumberjack", no matter what they claim........kinda keeps things in perspective (?!) for me.
Whilst I agree with you that (if True) then OP is heading for trouble with her fella I am kinda personally worried that folk seem to have started psycho analysing each other ...FWIW I do have my release docs from a Secure Psychiatric Hospital
Apparently I am not mad. it's just all in my mind

I hear you.
The cycle is often only within the one relationship and can go on for years until one of the partners in "the dance" ends up as a 911 call....I give you O.J. Smpson, his ex-wife and ...the poor waiter who had just come to return some eyeglasses.
At this point, the Emergency Room usually falls silent after the arrest has been "called" and we all look at each other with the same thought...."So much for the restraining order"!!
If you've known this woman over the years, it's really hard as you have watched the final outcome and wonder about the kids.
As the morning team arrives , you begin to explain the mess in the Trauma Room and after a few gasps.....well, you don't even bother to change out of your scrubs, get in a taxi cause you're too wasted to drive and find your bed where you curl up in the fetal position and wait until the images mercifully leave your brain....if the ever do....
I'm not psycho analyzing anyone....just want to show you the price paid by all.
.... can't write anymore......
Have a good day.

Keep meeting strangers on the internet and mama's gonna hafta put net nanny on your computer...
As to OP -
He came home drunk - I forgave him cuz I like rum too
He smacked me around - I forgave him cuz sometimes I like rough love
He holed my boat - I ditched him
She may be a fantasy but I like the way she thinks...
BTW - For those in the "She posted a picture so she must be real camp." Don't ever take up internet dating - LOL

Damn. I read thru all these pages, thinking "Gee, if this thread has survived this long, she must have finally responded to Sully..."
Nope. No such luck.
Well, good luck anyway!
Net Nanny. That's a hoot!

Thanks David I haven't been in any other crazy relationships but I do wish not to vent anymore on this thread! Now I just vent about finding parts for a wind vane! For those of you who do know the full story you know what happened the the stupid boyfriend. HE'S GONE! But I am on the hunt for a new boat! I let the ex have the one underwater! After, I dove for the anchors and anything else I could find! I guess I'm the hunt for a new boyfriend too! Unfortunately It's easier to find a good boat than a good sailor!
