Dreams Do Come True!

I have wanted to build a boat and travel the world since I was a kid (long time ago) six years ago I brought home an empty hull and began to build my boat inside. I was interrupted for a while by a diagnosis of cancer, almost gave up but a friend talked me off the couch and into finishing the boat. Amnesty went into the water for the first time Sept 14, I founded a nonprofit to help other cancer patients and am going to guide a fleet of boats carrying cancer survivors on a circumnavigation. I get to go see the world and help some good folks along the way! I do have a web site but don't sell anything from it, just have the info for the Victory lap.

I don't wish to impose on this forum's rules but would like to spread the word of this event, you will hear more about me soon!

I can think of no better way to not only make your own dreams come true, but those of others in the same situation at the same time. I hope that you will succeed in your goal to inspire others to stay off the couch and remember that life is about what you make of it and enjoy the time that are given.

I for one would love to see your website, please post the address and I'm sure you will receive a good bit of support from others on this and other sites. If they aren't on the site please post some pics of the boat and your crew!

Thank you for all the encouragement, my web site is informational rather than commercial, to add the name of a loved one lost to cancer to the banner go to thevictorylap.org and click on "Fallen" or to add a survivor to the other banner "survivors" There is also information for participating in a leg of the Victory Lap. Glad I'm in good company, thanks again and best to all.

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
What a grand idea. I'm a survivor and so are both my brothers (so far). Hope to see you make it to Hawaii.
regards,
