Cruising North florida`

Hi all,

I just bought a Pearson 23'' and looking to make my first sail this weekend!
I'm living in Gainesville for a year now but I'm not sure where to go for a first time, trying to have a fun and easy sail!

Can somebody make few suggestions of good places to sail?

I don't know anything about launch facilities there, but take a look at the St. John's River at Green Cove Springs or Palatka. Fairly close and lots of protected water.

The boat ramp is pretty shallow over there. I know that because this where I bought the boat and it was a bit messy to launch it here.
