Cruising from NJ to NC

We plan on taking our 37 ft Sea Ray from NJ to NC this September. Any advice?

We're going from Sandy Hook, NJ to Wilmington, NC. It's not a pleasure trip unfortunately. We've moving there in October, so my husband and brother in law are taking a weekmoff from work to get the boat down there. It's the first time we've taken such a trip. Have only used the boat in the rivers of Monmouth County and NY Harbor. It's a 37 ft Sea Ray Sedan Bridge. That's why we were looking for advice and tips from others who may have taken the trip.
