Coming Aboard

Name's Marcus, and I just purchased my first sailing vessel. A one owner 1984 Hunter 33' fin keel sloop. I plan to live aboard here in the Florida Panhandle region and am looking forward to becoming a part of this community... Please forgive if I don't always use the correct terminology as I am a work in progress.

Great area for sailing, but don't tell too many people about it.

Re: Coming Aboard

My first sailboat was a Hobie 14. I still remember bringing it home, even though that was more than 30 years ago now.

Re: Coming Aboard

Before purchasing ours, I have always had boats, as long as I remember. I built them when I could not afford them.

Re: Coming Aboard

I'm Number 1!!!!!! So far the only vote for getting first boat when older than 46. I can even beat that as I had never even been on sailboat till after 46.

And Boaty, get things right! I had to waste my money on my first boat before seeing the light and am only trying to help save money for other people!
