Recently I bought a home in SE Florida on a wide canal so I will have a 'home port'. I look forward to interacting, sharing and learning. Welcome to CF, sounds like you have an ideal home base. This is a forum, to blog means you have your own site up that you inform family, friends, and interested public as to your travels, boat, destinations, etc.

Both are a good way to stay in touch, along with my favorite, HAM HF SSB radio.

I don't know what an affordable multihull is. It seems that they are fairly expensive these days unless you get an old one that needs to have a lot of work done to it.

Having a house to maintain and a boat to maintain sends chills up my spine. I tolerate working on sailboat, and I hate working on a house.
