BVI Honeymoon

Bonjour Matelots - I have just finalised the details of my honeymoon in the BVI's where my fiance and I have chartered a 36' Bavaria. I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has experience of cruising/chartering in the BVI's and, if so, do they have any special places that must be visited. I have read a couple of guide books so I am really looking for some hidden gems.

Having honeymooned in the islands I think you don't need to go any where specifically. Once you are there it's all you need. There is just too much to do and see that you won't be bored or disappointed. Do some sailing by eye ball and just have a fun time. You really can't miss. If you get too much of an agenda I think you might enjoy it less. Grab a bunch of possibilities and just do the ones you can. If you find a place you really like just stay for a an extra day. The weather sort of dictates the destinations so be flexible and don't be in a hurry.

Anegada, if your charter company will let you. Plan 2 days there, and lobster one night.

Ditto on Anegada for the lobster! Bitter End is always entertaining, if for nothing else but to people and boat watch. I'd suggest Little Harbor on Jost and Sydney's rather than Foxy's and Great Harbor.

My wife and honeymooned in the BVI. Cane Garden Bay. Jost Van Dyke and Norman Is. were our favs. sj

By the way, if you like to hike...there are trails to the top of many of the islands.

Hike to the top of the hill at the baths...great views a pool and a cocktail ..await

Norman, Jost and Bitter End also have good hikes...great way to stretch your legs and get some panoramic photos....That's my Gem..

Also have diinner at Myetts...at Cane Garden Bay....

Don't leave the islands without a good Pain Killer Recipe..
