Best day sailing

I'm still very much a beginner sailor. I've only had my sailboat about a month (an early 70's 15' Albacore). Most days I've gone out it's been difficult and somewhat stressful. Today I was out for 7 hours on lake Huron. The sailing was amazing. Sailing back to port I was creating 1/2 meter waves and tacking like I actuality knew what I was doing. I even managed to sail right back into port without difficulties. Best day sailing that I've had so far. Hopefully the conditions tomorrow will be the same.

Re: Best day sailing

The really nice thing about sailing is that you will have many more days when you can say "that was the best day ever"...

OF course, the corollary to that is that there will also be many days when you can say "that was the worst day ever". Fortunately, most of us have learned to quickly forget the latter experiences!

Cheers,

Jim

Re: Best day sailing

Congratulations! Had one today myself. I think that was the 5th this year! Confidence with experience helps quite a bit as you can relax and enjoy.
