Ave amici

Hi all, I'm a newbie here, looking forward to getting some good advice from the old salts here.

I live in KSA, with family in London, England, and just bought a boat, a Westerly 36', in Miami, FL. We'll be pottering around the Florida/Caribbean area for a couple of years or so before sailing her to the Med when I retire.

World cruise is a possibility, but let's get retired first.

Have some sailing experience, but limited to North Sea, Irish Sea, English Channel, BVI, and one Biscay trip from Glasgow to La-Corruna. Did transit the Panama, but that was mostly motor sailing.

This in my third 'real' boat, others were a Javelin 30, and a Hunter HB32RS (the British Hunter, not the US one).

Looking forward to making friends here.

Cheers
Paul

Re: Ave amici

KSA isn't too bad Saucy, but my wife flatly refused to come here... I'll be moving to Shekou, China next, so that should be good. I lived in Q8 for a while lat year, it was cool there, a US city in Arabia, but without the booze.
