Hey this is not my first post, but im still new to this forum..
I am VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY interested in sailing.

I am based on Long Island New York.
Is anyone on this forum from LI..

I want to make friends with boats and meet a sailing buddy..

Ah ok us Aussies speak differently ... Google-Earth the place i said. we are heading for Caribbean about then cruising the Med first. This is a good forum you will learn a lot, there's a shipload of experience here :-) Frank

Where on Long Island are you? And can you say some more about yourself?

Transmission and heat exchanger are out of the boat now. Not sailing for a few weeks. (I know, it's a sailboat...)

I may be doing some sailing out of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn this year. So if you are in Nassau County that might work, or even western Suffolk. Send me a PM if that interests you.

It sounds like you want TO CREW, lucian.

Best way to do that is wait a few more weeks for season to begin, then find out where the local beer can races are and start asking around at the docks, at the yacht clubs, about an hour or so before the races start.

Someone always needs crew, if you are there on time and dressed for it, you'll get rides, and some of them will ask you to come back for non-racing as well.
